A Real Review of Seed Daily Probiotic

A Real Review of Seed Daily Probiotic

Green Seed Probiotic containers sit on a pink cart in front of a tumber that reads "Sometimes you forget you're awesome, so this is your reminder" and various makeup in an acrylic organizer.

The first thing that caught my attention about Seed was their emphasis on education – not just selling a product to sell it, but educating users on *why* a daily probiotic is so important. I am a self-proclaimed student of life and love learning. Exploring the science as I have reviewed this product has been truly incredible. I have tried taking a probiotic on and off for years, with a general understanding of the benefits. But after taking Seed University, I was so excited to see how my body responded to something so unique and different.

Your Microbiome and why it matters.

As someone in the postpartum support space (I am a certified lactation counselor) I have learned a lot about the Microbiome. Did you know that there are trillions of bacteria living in your body right now? It is wild to think about how complex and incredible the human body really is. Those bacteria make up your unique Microbiome – these bacteria are helpful and essential to many of our regular bodily functions.

While scientists are still learning where this Microbiome comes from, we think it is heavily genetic and established during birth and the early postpartum period. But new research tells us that it is heavily impacted by the environment around us as well. Because of this, we don’t know exactly what a “healthy” microbiome looks like, but we do know that we can support it.

Enter Seed Daily Probiotic

Seed is a Synbiotic (both probiotics and prebiotics in one capsule) with over 24 unique strains of broad-spectrum bacteria. Innovative technology, Seeds daily symbiotic is a probiotic inner capsule, nestled inside a prebiotic outer capsule. This design protects the bacteria from stomach acids and digestive enzymes. It also protects it through shipping and storage – no refrigeration or special care is required.

Aside from the wonderful education that Seed provides, I also really appreciated their emphasis on Sustainability. When you began your subscription the first 30 days of capsules come in this beautiful and sturdy glass jar. It feels so luxurious, I am not going to lie.  You also receive a small glass jar that can be used for travel or additional storage. Then, each month refills are sent in recyclable and compostable mailers. As someone who is working toward making more earth-friendly choices, I appreciate the thought that Seed put into their packaging.

At $49.99 a month, it is an investment. But I believe that investments into overall health are worth it when you can make it work. The education you have access to, as well as the sustainable packing, help me to justify the extra spend.P

Let’s get into the benefits of taking a probiotic –

I have been taking this daily synbiotic for 30 days now, and here are some of the things I have noticed. Again these are not health claims made by Seed and I am not a medical professional – this is just my genuine experience.

  • My skin is glowing! You know that I am passionate about great skincare, and this supplement has been a wonderful addition to my routine. I struggle with hormonal acne and since I have been taking a probiotic regularly, I have noticed fewer and fewer breakouts, especially during my menstrual cycle.
  • My bathroom schedule is *regular*. I have never experienced significant bathroom issues, but have noticed a very consistent regularity since starting the supplement. The first few days it took some getting used to, but as my body has adjusted it has been very comfortable.
  • I have noticed possible immune benefits. Normally during the winter season and season changes, I am prone to postnasal drip, allergies, and common colds. Over the last month or so, I have noticed a significant decrease in those symptoms. I learned that taking a probiotic can help increase the benefits of other Vitamins, and I feel it is doing its job.
  • I have increased mental clarity. As someone who struggles with PCOS, anxiety and depression, this is huge.  You may be surprised to learn that over 90% of the bodies Serotonin is actually produced in the gut and that healthy fats and bacteria (the Microbiome!) are crucial to that production. I do also take an SSRI as a treatment for mental health and plan to continue to do so. And I discussed adding a probiotic with my Dr., and she encouraged me to give it a try. Remember to talk to your providers before introducing anything new.

Taking care of you is not selfish (that’s right, read it again)

I’ve said it before and I will shout it from the rooftops again. There is absolutely NO shame in doing things that make you feel better. Whether it is an activity, your favorite dinner, or introducing something like a new supplement into your routine. Do it for you. It doesn’t matter what anyone else says, you matter, and doing what you need to take your mental and physical health is the most important thing you can invest time and resources in.

I am excited to continue on my journey with Seed and I will be sure to update you along the way! If you would like to give it a try, you can get yours here and try it confidently knowing that Seed has a 30-day Risk-Free guarantee.
